Mission

To establish the weekly Williamsburg Farmers Market in Merchants Square for growers and producers of Virginia to sell fresh seasonal food and farm products directly to the residents and visitors in the Greater Williamsburg area for the purpose of:

  • Providing healthy regionally produced food to the Williamsburg Community.
  • Stimulating the farm economy and preserving agricultural land.
  • Reviving the historic role of the Williamsburg town center as a place for markets.
  • Creating a fun and educational venue to enhance community life in Williamsburg.



General Information

Location: Merchants Square, at 402 West Duke of Gloucester between Boundary and Henry Streets, in Williamsburg
Dates: Winter Markets - second Saturday of February and March
Regular season - Saturdays, March 31- October 27, 2012
Holiday Markets - third and fourth Saturday of November
                       - second Saturday of December
Time: Regular season - Saturdays, 8 am – Noon
Holidays and Winter - 8:30 am - 12:30 p.m.
Vendors: Producers of locally grown: produce, seafood, cut flowers, organic vegetables, herbs, baked goods, pasture-raised meats, cheeses, herbal and goat's milk soap, fresh bread, pumpkins, honey and eggs
